Ever wonder to yourself, am I meditating yet? What really is meditation? What actually are the effects? With blogs, social media posts and magazines buzzing everywhere about mindfulness and meditation, ever pause and ask, am I the only one not meditating? This workshop offers the opportunity to ask questions and dive deeper. Come and learn how to meditate, enhance your current practice and explore Kripalu meditation techniques in a friendly space.
First, you’ll learn the basics, like how to sit comfortably, without your legs numbing. Next, Kimberly will guide you through short Kripalu meditation techniques. You’ll take a journey inward and experience the powerful effects. There will be plenty of time to pause and reflect so you will leave knowing which techniques may work best for you, and how to incorporate them into your own daily practice. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore moving your body through a Kripalu style gentle flow, combining deep meditation with movement. Before you leave, we’ll review ways for overcoming obstacles, like what to do if you fall asleep, become distracted, or get hungry. Taking new meditation techniques home with you - you’ll leave feeling empowered - and you will have a plan!
Please bring: a blanket, a journal, a meditation pillow (if desired) and wear comfortable clothes to move in.
