How Does It Work?

By exploring deeper levels of awareness, Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra creates space to come out of “fight or flight,” and rest into a more fully relaxed experience.

This easy and accessible practice uses a systematic approach based on the yogic “koshas,” or sheaths, which in yogic philosophy are layers that cover the true Self. When these layers are pulled back , they are said to reveal the essence of existence, or the bliss layer, giving access to a deeply connected experience without any barriers.

In a Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra practice, you are taken on an ever-deepening journey to Self through these layers using body sensing, breath awareness, guided imagery, and other practices. As each layer is experienced, you may go deeper and deeper into a state of complete relaxation where the thinking mind is transcended, and the wisdom of the true Self is revealed.


One session allows you the space to deeply relax, calm, and restore.

Do I have to be a “yogi” to do it ?

Definitely not! Everyone can practice Divine Sleep®, and benefit from its effects. This easy and accessible guided meditation practice can be enjoyed and practiced by all.

Simply lie down, breathe, and become as comfortable as you can. I provide you with easy to follow simple instructions. As you listen to my voice, you may feel yourself becoming more and more at rest; experiencing the “sense of being” and the “falling away” of tension, stress, and anxiety. Although it may feel as if you are sleeping, studies have shown your consciousness is actually functioning at a deeper level of awareness, allowing you the opportunity to deeply relax, restore, and heal.

Healing Is Possible

Determined to regain the adventurous life I had before being diagnosed with debilitating fibromyalgia, I spent 5 years practicing yoga and meditation at home, and when able, in a yoga studio with community. As my body slowly began to heal, I began to catch a glimpse of my true self and the life I was meant to live.

My efforts were paying off, and though still weakened by my condition, I needed to know more. In 2017, I committed to fully immersing myself in the teachings and practice of yoga, and began my first yoga teacher training through Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. It was during this time that I first experienced Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra, created and taught by Jennifer Reis.

The first time I practiced Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra, I knew instantly that it worked for me. The sense of being touched something deep within that allowed me to be whole again. I didn’t know all of its intricacies, or exactly what it was, but I knew I found a powerful practice I wanted to share.

I now offer yoga and Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra classes and workshops publicly, privately, and in the workplace. Corporate, Private, & Group sessions are conducted over the phone, virtually, or in-person (studios, in-home, wellness shops, and in the workplace).
